- Added a console application that allows you to configure advanced settings for tape devices. This utility, called deviceconfig, is automatically installed on the respective machines when you install the NetVault Backup Server and Client software.
- Modified the “Storage Contents Query” report to display the Segment Expiry Date and
Segment Expiry Time details for disk-based storage devices.
- Corrected an issue in which the job status showed “Backup Completed” when a stream or
segment was unavailable during a backup consolidation or Data Copy job and no restorable
saveset was created. The job logs displayed the message “Media Request Failed: Media request
no backup.”
- Corrected an issue in which a Data Copy job failed or stopped responding if you selected the Use
optimised replication between devices that support this feature check box.
- Addressed an issue in which NetVault Backup failed to close the backup streams to a Dell DR
Series system if you aborted the job or killed the plug-in process.
- Changed the default setting for the configuration option Mark expired Read Only media as
writable (Change Settings > Configuration > NetVault Server Settings > Media Manager) to
prevent automatic reuse of retired read-only media.
- Modified the WebUI to display the client details on the View Client page when you accessed this
page by clicking the client name on the Manage Job Definitions – View Job page.
